Our School
With 50 years of excellence, South Georgia Tech is featured as the second oldest technical institute in Georgia and is one of only two that offers dormitories. Our attractive campus is conveniently located northeast of Americus, adjacent to Souther Field airport, where Charles A. Lindbergh made his first solo flight. Our school is unique with programs offered in Aviation Technology, Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology and is proud of its 98% job placement rate. SGTI also offers 28 diploma programs and 11 Certificates of Credit. Besides our campus housing, students also enjoy an onsite cafeteria, a full-service library, gymnasium, weight room, tennis courts, volleyball court, softball field, fishpond, game room and putting green and driving range for avid golfers. many student activities, recognition programs, and intramural activities make campus life exciting. Also numerous student services are available to enhance our students educational experience.
